Yoeli Diekman presents a debut album to Rabbi Eliezer Auerbach from Johannesburg. It is an invested, diverse, rich and professional album of poetry full of Jewish emotion - "I Toil.".
Rabbi Auerbach (originally from Jerusalem) currently lives in Johannesburg, is married and has six children. In his position, he is a senior shiur reciter at Yeshiva Beit Yitzhak and teaches at the Yad Shaul kollel and has even published several Torah works. During the Holy Days, he serves as a cantor and prayer leader at the Or Samach congregation in Cape Town.
Rabbi Eliezer began his musical journey at a young age, when he began composing songs as a child. Over the years, his songs have been performed in yeshivahs and camps in Israel and around the world.
His musical career continues a long-standing musical lineage in the family: His maternal grandfather was the legendary cantor Avraham Brown, who served as chief cantor at the Great Synagogue in Vienna in the 1930s. His maternal father, Cantor Yitzhak Brown, served as a cantor for 32 years in the United States.
Over the years, Rabbi Auerbach has received many requests to share his special musical works with the public.
This album is a collection of selected songs from his many compositions, uniting a collection of songs in different and unique styles. His poetry has the flavor of authentic Jewish poetry, full of deep and sincere emotion.
The performances on this album are outstanding in their level and richness.
On the production side, Auerbach didn't skimp and went for the big guys. No less than six different choirs and many musical instruments participate in this production. Two of the best arrangers on the market today worked on the album: the great arranger Yoeli Dickman and Jeff Hurwitz.
