UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed issued a decree today (Saturday) according to which the economic boycott of Israel is being lifted - and trade and economic agreements can be signed with Israeli entities and individuals.
It was also decided to allow trade between the countries and the entry of Israeli goods into the Emirates.
The move comes 48 hours before the arrival of a large Israeli delegation to the United Arab Emirates.
The delegation will hold official discussions on institutionalized cooperation between the countries in several areas - aviation, health, trade, tourism, culture and security.
The Israeli delegation, which is joining the American delegation headed by Jared Kushner, will be headed by National Security Chief Meir Ben-Shabbat.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the order: "I welcome the decision of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, to repeal the law to boycott products from Israel and economic contacts with Israelis. This is an important step to promote prosperity and peace in the region.".
