What is needed??

A cake in a ring (so that the cake comes out straight, it is advisable to bake it in a ring) wrapped in white sugar dough (300 g)

50 g red sugar dough (for three red roses)

50 g pink sugar paste (for three pink roses)

20 g white sugar dough (for a white rose)

Anyone who has already experienced working with sugar dough can also dye the white dough any color using gel paint.

knife

rolling pin

Topping (to decorate the edges of the cake)

Plastic bag

Preparation steps:

Preliminary preparation

• After baking the cake and placing it on a flat surface, we coat the cake with cream (preferably chocolate) so that the sugar dough will stick easily.

• Take the white sugar dough, roll it out with the rolling pin until it softens, cover the cake and put away the leftovers.

• Using a tong (choose a pattern you like), gently pinch the edges of the cake for a festive look.

Step 1: Take the pink sugar dough and make 3 sausages from it. Divide each sausage into five equal parts with a knife. Roll four parts into balls of the same size and form the remaining part into a cone with your fingers.

Step 2: Take a pink ball, place it on a bag and fold the bag over it. Using both hands, flatten the ball into a petal-like shape.

Step 3: The cone will serve as a bud, and we will wrap it with the first petal almost until it closes.

Step 4: We will create the rest of the petals using the additional balls and add them to the flower one on top of the other.

Step 5: Pinch each petal in the middle outwards to create a rose-like shape.

Step 6: Repeat the process with the two additional sausages and also with the red and white sugar dough.

Now we have 7 roses and we can arrange them in the shape of a bouquet in the center of the cake.

And here you have a very festive cake without any effort (almost...)

Using a tong (choose a model you like), gently pinch the edges of the cake for a festive look.
