Explosion in Ramla: Five people were injured this evening (Tuesday) from minor to serious injuries.Explosion A gas cylinder in a cafe near the market, on Yitzhak Sadeh Street in Ramla.

An initial investigation into the incident suggests that an unknown person arrived at the scene with a flammable substance and deliberately set the cafe on fire.

One person was seriously injured, two people were lightly to moderately injured, and two were slightly injured. Paramedics and volunteer medics from United Hatzalah provided initial medical care to the injured, and ambulances and mobile intensive care units evacuated the injured for further medical treatment at Tel Hashomer and Assaf Harofeh hospitals.

A fire raged at the scene. Firefighting teams carried out extinguishing operations.

The circumstances of the case are being investigated.

Dubi Maisel, a United Hatzalah paramedic, said at the end of the incident: "When I arrived at the scene, smoke was still rising from the building. The victims, who apparently got out on their own, suffered from burns and smoke inhalation. I and other paramedics provided first aid to the victims, and then they were evacuated to hospitals. At the scene, we also provided treatment to a number of panic victims who did not require evacuation to a hospital.".
