Emotional therapist Mordechai Roth on a new single "White Flag", accompanied by talented guitarist Barak Grossberg.
Roth tells the story of the birth of the song: "Two Jews I met told me about their bitter fate, and their story made my soul tremble and the 'white nights' that led me to write the song.
One of them, Roth, recalled, had just divorced his wife, and the other described a difficult life filled with suffering, anger, and bitterness.
During the conversation between the years, the second Jew said that he met a rabbi who told him: "Listen, you need to raise a white flag. Do you know when you raise a white flag? When in a war one side realizes that it has no chance of surviving the war, then it raises a white flag to show that it has surrendered. In the same way, you also need to raise a white flag, surrender and say, God, I understand - I'm not fighting anymore. You do everything. You are responsible for everything. I can't do anything even if I fight until the end of my life.".
The rabbi's beautiful and pure advice brought tears to my eyes, says Roth, and that's where the verses of the poem were born. The first is about the man who separated from his wife, the second is written about the Jew who decided to raise a white flag.
Words:
There are moments when all the places close and I cry out in pain.
Chorus: Don't break down, you are not alone,
There is someone watching over you.
He lets go and does not fight, raising a white flag, realizing that there is a great king.
