Hundreds of Borough Park residents participated in a cantor concert on Monday, all of which was a prayer for the safety and security of the country's residents, in light of the security situation.
The concert took place at the Anshi Sephardi synagogue, and was attended by cantors: Yaakov Rosenfeld, Shimi Miller, Yaakov Lemar, Ze'evi Muller, Pinchas Cohen, Benny Rogoznitzky, and the prodigy Aryeh Pollak, accompanied by the Park Hist synagogue choir, conducted by Russell Ger.
The synagogue rabbi, Rabbi Yechiel Kaufman, opened the concert with words of encouragement and hope for the people living in Israel, emphasizing the power and strength of prayer and unity, which have the power to save and greatly assist.
The concert's producer and initiator, Cantor Benny Rogoznitsky, told Cantors10: "At this time when the Jewish people are in great danger, when millions of our brothers in Israel are living in fear and hiding in shelters to protect their lives, we, a group of cantors, decided, despite the short notice, to hold a cantorial concert that is all about prayer and a cry to the Creator of the worlds, in order to awaken and unite our community in prayer for the strengthening of the security situation in Israel.".
""As the cantors sang inside, heavy rain fell outside. For a moment, it seemed like the sky was joining us in those moving and moving prayers.".
