Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah gave an interview to the newspaper "As-Sapir" last night, during which he addressed the organization's relations with Israel and the planting of the bomb on Mount Dov several weeks ago. At the same time, Israel launched two attacks in the Nabi Shit area, near the border between Syria and Lebanon. The attack was reported by foreign sources, and it occurred towards the end of February. According to reports on "Voice of Lebanon" radio, Hezbollah convoys were attacked that were transporting highly advanced rocket weapons from Syria to the organization's caches in the northern Lebanon Valley.
About three weeks later, an explosive device was detonated against an IDF force on the Lebanese border. In response, the IDF fired dozens of shells into Lebanese territory.
According to Nasrallah, "the Israelis understood the message well" and that their attack in response, in the Lebanon Valley, was "part of their attempt to exploit the existing situation and Hezbollah's involvement in the fighting in Syria.".
""When we planted two explosive devices in August 2013 on the border," he said, "the goal was, among other things, to convey a message to the enemy - 'We will not allow you to change the rules of the game, wherever you enter and we will know, we will fight you.' If Hezbollah had remained silent in the face of the attack on the Janta, the enemy would have come tomorrow to hit every truck, every target, every house, everywhere, claiming that these were high-quality weapons.".
Nasrallah claimed in an interview that "the danger of the fall of the Syrian regime has passed. We have passed the stage where there was concern that Syria would be divided. The military option in Syria has failed. Most countries have today adopted the political solution.".
""We are calm about the course of events in southern Syria and on the northern border. The unrest in Syria broke out to realize the most important option from Israel's perspective, after the failure in the Second Lebanon War. However, developments on the ground are increasing concern among Israelis, and their eyes have begun to look at the Galilee.".
Regarding the situation within Lebanon, Nasrallah claimed that the danger of terrorist attacks in the country "has decreased significantly.".
""The danger of terrorist attacks inside Lebanon has decreased significantly." In this context, he noted the steps taken on the border from both the Syrian and Lebanese sides, and emphasized that "we have no problem with our public regarding our involvement in the fighting in Syria. There was a group that hesitated, but it decided in our favor. The part of the public that supports the March 14 camp supports our intervention in Syria, as it is intended to protect Lebanon from the infidel terrorist organizations.".
""The resistance is much stronger than it was in 2006. This is not an exaggeration, but the truth. Both in terms of human capacity, fighting skills, training, and this was even before what happened in Syria." According to him, "If Israel forces a war against Lebanon, the resistance in Lebanon will fight much better than it fought in 2006 despite what is happening in Syria. The matter is completely settled.".
""Ehud Barak said in a lecture - these are the ones who go to lectures after leaving their jobs - and he clearly warned from the technical and technological aspect that precision missile technology over time becomes an easy-to-obtain technology and not complicated in terms of quantity and quality, and that Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad may obtain it.".
""The Chief of Staff of the enemy army says: 'When the next war begins, the first missile launched by Hezbollah will enter my window.' He means that the resistance in Lebanon has precise missiles that will hit Tel Aviv and enter the window of the Chief of Staff's office. Last time, the campaign covered northern Israel, the center, and Afula. The talk now is about Tel Aviv. Israel knows this and it will not endure a campaign that will last a long time and in which the depth of the Zionist entity will face a precise and defined attack.".
