A conference unveiling assistance tools from the Export Institute and the Ministry of Economy and Industry for Haredi high-tech entrepreneurs, in collaboration with the Haredi technological incubator Kam-Tech, will be held tomorrow - October 16, 2018 - in Kfar Maccabiah.

The goal of the conference is to expose companies in the Haredi sector to the government assistance tools to which they are entitled - including: participation in international exhibitions, mentors for international marketing, and assistance programs for exporters with various sales volumes.

During the conference, the winners of the High-Tech Startup of the Year competition will be announced, in four categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Startup of the Year, and Startup of the Year.

More and more ultra-Orthodox high-tech companies understand the potential inherent in the international arena and seek to do business with government companies, private entities, and public organizations.

The Export Institute and the Ministry of Economy and Industry identified the challenges that exist in the Haredi sector and decided to respond to them and make the many options available in the international market accessible to companies.

Eli Cohen, Minister of Economy and Industry: "We at the Ministry of Economy and Industry are constantly working to assist Israeli companies. There are many challenges in the Haredi sector, and we are holding this conference to expose business people from the Haredi sector to the international activities of the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Integrating different populations into the workforce and the global economy is among the key things that the Ministry of Economy and Industry is doing. We will continue to assist any company that wishes to break into the international market.".

Adiv Baruch, Chairman of the Export Institute: "More and more entrepreneurs from the ultra-Orthodox sector are showing great interest in business opportunities overseas. We at the Export Institute realized that the potential is great and decided to take the plunge. Over the past year, we visited high-tech incubators in Bnei Brak and Jerusalem and discovered that people want to export and do not know how to approach the process. We have set ourselves the goal of assisting and responding to the unique needs of the ultra-Orthodox sector.

""A conference of this type will expose them to the many possibilities and make available the full range of services that the Export Institute and the Ministry of Economy and Industry have to offer, from participation in international exhibitions to information and consulting services. In addition, we are planning a variety of seminars, courses, and workshops over the coming year that will enrich the knowledge of entrepreneurs in all areas of the Haredi sector.".
