At a Labor Party faction meeting, faction chairman MK Eitan Cabel expressed hope that the party's candidate in the presidential race, MK Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, would be elected to the position. "Most faction members support him," he encouraged the members.

In between, Cabel, once a yeshiva student at the 'Negev' yeshiva, mentioned that "tomorrow is Shavuot.".

""Shavuot correction," responded former chairman, MK Shelly Yachimovitz.

Party chairman Yitzhak (Bozhi) Herzog decided to go for food: "We'll eat cheesecake.".

Eitan Cabel: "You will eat cheesecake, I don't like it.".

The one who ruined the celebration a little was MK Shelly Yachimovich, who announced that, contrary to the party's position, she will vote for Reuven Rivlin for president. "Reuven is the most worthy and suitable for the presidency. A Democrat to boot, honest and clean-handed, modest in his personal conduct and statesmanlike in his perception and behavior. There is no need to guess how he will behave as president," Yachimovich said.

According to her, "precisely as a right-winger, whose opinions in many cases are opposite to mine, he has already stood the test, and has been a solid rock on the guard of democracy. This is a man with extensive experience and who inspires respect, for whom no work on behalf of the public in Israel is beneath his dignity.".
