Steep-track firing was carried out early Monday morning from Syrian territory towards IDF posts on Mount Hermon. A military source says that the shooting at IDF posts was deliberate fire from the Syrian side. Four mortar shells were fired at the posts, one of which landed in Israeli territory. In response to the shooting, the IDF returned artillery fire to Omart al-Fur, the area from which the launch had taken place.   The IDF Spokesperson stated that the IDF reserves the right to act in any way and at any time it deems appropriate to protect the residents of the State of Israel.
