Eliezer Mendelovich, the 4-year-old boy who drowned in a pool in Caesarea on Saturday afternoon, is expected to be released from the hospital today (Wednesday) - four days after his condition was classified as serious.

The Mendelovich family, who live in the Erezei HaBira neighborhood in Jerusalem, went on vacation last Saturday in Caesarea. On Saturday afternoon, the parents discovered to their horror that their 4-year-old son had entered the private pool in the yard of the vacation home - and drowned.

The father pulled his son out of the water and immediately began performing CPR on him according to a telephone briefing, until the arrival of MDA teams who continued the resuscitation efforts.

The child lost consciousness and was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he was sedated and on a ventilator.

The Hadera police arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into whether the parents were negligent, and collected initial testimony from them on the spot.

At Rambam Hospital, they initially gave a situation assessment stating that the child would remain under anesthesia for several more days, and only then would they be able to know and assess the damage caused to him. But with divine help, within thirty-six hours, about a day and a half after being taken to the hospital, the child regained full consciousness, and even communicated with his family members who were by his side.,  He was visited by volunteers from the 'One Heart' organization who rejoiced with his parents over the miracle of his rescue. The boy's father, who is still upset and moved by the miracle, spoke to Haredim 10 And he said: "A real miracle. Thank you to the hospital and the wonderful staff for the dedicated care. They do their job exceptionally well.".
