There wasn't anyone who didn't know when it started.

Thousands organized to get to the place itself and those who didn't get to be there, really close, tried every tzedekki to get a scrap of information. Something from the main message. It's not every day that two world giants meet in such a magnificent setting. Just like a knife sharpening on its companion.

Everyone has their own worldview. A different perspective. The way to break down the problem and find an overall solution is completely different.

It's amazing how every nuance and every body movement is calculated by them. They literally plan several steps ahead.

Where are we and where are they? The work of virtue! How much morality there is here.

The lucky ones who got to see the summit meeting with their own eyes, without any interruptions or intermediaries, arrived long hours before the start of the session, trying to hold on to the moment. To soak up the atmosphere. Many arrived with stacks of papers and writing instruments. To summarize every detail, not to lose a single move.

The elders of the tribe reminded the young flock of the previous time the giants met.

The eyes shone with excitement and the ears pricked up. What awe for the elders. They had won! They had already seen once what the young people were going to see for the first time and who knows if for the last time.... May God have mercy on them. Merciful mothers packed their bags for the journey and stroked the cheeks of the goats. 'Remember to behave yourself!' 'Excuse yourself every moment....' they shouted just before they disappeared into the great hall.

The unlucky ones were still waiting outside. Maybe they would get one fleeting moment of relief. A small, fleeting glimpse. Something! A silent, whispered prayer. Please! Help me! While tens of thousands of people, old and young, clung to the outside communications and amplification systems that the organizers had prepared in advance.

And here it begins. The two giants of giants face each other and everyone eagerly absorbs every detail. Records every movement. Passionately analyzes every point.

The camps are divided fiercely. This justifies and this contradicts. This strengthens and this brings evidence here and there.

And then, suddenly it's over. Like a problem that can't be refuted. Step by step, move by move. Everything is clear.

The joy that bursts forth is indescribable. And about this they have already said, 'There is no joy like the release of sufficiency.' Rivals have become lovers, and embraces and love burst forth from all sides, passing like a bolt of lightning across the globe.

Maccabi won.

Ahhh, how I wanted to end this column differently.

Mentioning the names of two great men of the world, leaders of the generation, two real giants at a gathering of Torah scholars, with thousands crowding the hall to hear yet another halachic ruling. Yet another move by Shekla and Tariya.

But here we are. 2014. Or 2014. Whatever you want.

It's not too late yet.

A final point: This is my third column here, on the platform given to me by Haredim10.

The responses I received from the previous columns were amazing. They gave me the desire and encouragement to write more (if someone enjoys it, then why not?!), but, for your information: I don't have Facebook (heaven forbid!). So if you have something to tell me, for the better, to enlighten and enlighten - comment on the site. That way I can read and even respond and improve.

your,

Micah Sholem.
