Yaakov Rivlin, the political correspondent for a local newspaper, attacked Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel on his Twitter account today (Friday), provoking angry reactions on the social network.
Shortly before the funeral of Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin, Rivlin tweeted: ""If Uri Ariel had any shame, he wouldn't have come to the funeral today. The man who set fire to the territories on his way to the Temple Mount this time shouldn't stand at the funeral and wipe away tears."".
The surfers did not remain indifferent and began attacking the Haredi journalist.
One of the surfers sneered: "A little more. A little more effort and you'll manage to oust the liberal from the role of haredi hetsroni.".
""It is clear that if it were not for Ariel's ascension to the Temple Mount, the Hankins would have encountered the intersection on a smiling Arab with a tray of baklava," responded surfer Yaakov Lebi.
And then he tweeted again: "Am I waiting in vain or are you about to reveal to us the culprit in the murder of the Har Nof saints?""
Another surfer hinted at Rivlin's residential neighborhood, on Mount Nof: "And I don't need to tell you that from the Arab perspective, a neighborhood built on the ruins of Deir Yassin is a much more effective incentive for terrorism than climbing the mountain.".
But the real battle was between Rivlin and Channel 2's ultra-Orthodox correspondent, Yair Sharki:
