A ceremony to open a police station was held this morning (Monday) in the Pardes Katz neighborhood in Bnei Brak. The ceremony was attended by Tel Aviv District Commander, Chief Bentzei Sau, his deputy, Chief Motti Cohen, Dan Region Commander, Chief Shimon Lavie, district police officers and officers, and Bnei Brak Mayor Rabbi Hanoch Seibert.
Dan Region Commander Lt. Col. Shimon Lavie, who supported and led the police point, sees the opening of the point as a necessary step in order to provide the neighborhood's residents with a police presence and police services.
At the opening ceremony, he said: "The Pardes Katz neighborhood needs a district with a serious sheriff and a quality police force to maintain order. The district unit has police officers and inspectors who are motivated and determined to deal with what interests the public, those criminal offenses and criminal behavior that harm the sense of security and quality of life of the citizens here in Pardes Katz. Remember, you are not alone, the entire Dan region is there to back you up and assist whenever needed.".
Lavie thanked all partners in establishing the police station, for the major investment led by Deputy Commander of the Region, Lt. Col. Nir Ekron, and Chief of Staff of the Bnei Brak Municipality, Mr. Israel Dranger. Lavie also thanked the Commander of the Sao District for allowing the region to attend the opening of the station.
District Commander Superintendent Bentzi Sao signed off the ceremony and said: "Our goal is for the police not to become an amorphous body. We seek to become and become part of the community. The presence of a police station in Pardes Katz is not only to exert force against crime, but to lead processes and act in the community for the youth and for those who have difficulty functioning optimally. The city of Bnei Brak demands that a police station be established and adapted to the local residents. This is the first step, and in the coming year we will inaugurate additional neighborhoods in the city.".
