Menachem Assaf is a talented musician who is not willing to fit into a niche. In the past, he was involved in producing somewhat different Hasidic music, but for the past four years he has been busy with Jewish music and recording a debut album in a different style than what we have known so far.

In recent months, many have been exposed to the two singles: 'Ketz HaYamim' and 'Nanigas Horesh Kotzer', which received great acclaim.

Menachem's debut album, 'Bora Nefshot', is currently being released.

The idea behind the theme song and the album itself is that the Creator of souls created souls and also their shortcomings, and all of our satisfaction and progress in the world comes through its shortcomings and fulfillment.

Each song on the album was born in a moment of joy, pain, or thought – this moment Menachem shares with the listeners. The lyrics of the songs, some taken from the sources and some written by him himself, over four years of creation and production.

Alongside each song in the album booklet, Menachem presents an internal and deeper look at the background behind the song.

The album's 11 songs contain diverse and thoughtful music, consisting of different rhythms, funk, rock, light jazz, seven-eighths, flamenco and more - with each song in a completely different style, which makes for a perfect musical experience. In light of his rich experience at Atmosphere Studios, which he owns, Menachem did the arrangements himself, something unique for artists. An advantage that helped him record the songs in a real and internal way - so that they came from the bottom of his heart, and not in a technical way.

""We worked on the album for four whole years, and I am happy to present to you the final result. The range of songs on the album gives expression to a wide variety of people, I sincerely hope that they will be received with great enthusiasm by their listeners," says Menachem, who assures that this is just the beginning. In the future, he plans to continue releasing more songs and albums.
