President of the Conference of European Rabbis and Rabbi of Moscow, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, a partner in the initiative, said: "The changes in economic development in the Internet age have turned the entire world into a small global village and creators and entrepreneurs into potential world tycoons.

""The time has come to create a platform for dialogue between the young generation of Internet entrepreneurs, who are at the forefront of global economic development in the world, and the bearers of the spiritual baggage of thousands of years of Israeli tradition. In this age of multimedia, it is more important than ever that new and advanced technology that can be used for good or evil embraces values of world improvement.".

""This is the beginning of what we hope will be a positive and ongoing dialogue with the evolving world of digital media and the spiritual world of Judaism.".

Rabbi Goldschmidt called on the rabbis of the approximately 700 communities affiliated with the 'European Rabbinical Conference' to announce the awards in their communities and to personally encourage young men and women in the city where they live who are involved in the Internet to submit their candidacy.

The best app will be chosen by a team of judges: Anton Nosik from Russia, one of the most well-known people in the Internet world, and Yossi Vardi from Israel - one of the fathers of the high-tech and Internet industry in Israel.
