This evening (Wednesday), it was announced on the television program 'Uvda' that Benjamin (Fuad) Ben Eliezer, one of the leading candidates running for president, held a club card for the prestigious "Fifty St. James" casino in London.
According to the investigation, Fuad frequented the place until 2002, when he held senior positions in the government.
In an interview with him, Fuad vehemently denied the allegations. "I have never gambled in casinos in London. Never," Fuad said, adding that he had been there once, because he was invited to dinner at a restaurant.

The investigation also revealed that Ben Eliezer held a membership card at another casino called 'Crockford', where a membership card costs a thousand pounds sterling.
In both places, the investigation said, it is not possible to gamble without a membership card, even if someone just wants to eat at the restaurants there, they must be a member.
Ben Eliezer's spokesman said in response that Fuad has a large family in London and visiting casinos is a common pastime in the city. According to him, Ben Eliezer only stayed with his family at the casino restaurant.
