Captain Eitan Shmuel Lemberg, 21, of the Seven Guards, an armor officer in the 75th Battalion of the Golan Heights Saar Division, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

The incident in which he fell occurred around 4:00 PM, during operational activity by our forces.

A terrorist launched an anti-tank missile at a tank belonging to the Golani Brigade Combat Team, which is operating in southern Lebanon. The attack occurred in an area located north of the Litani River.

Immediately after the serious incident, IDF forces launched a widespread response operation in the area.

The army attacked from the air and with artillery the infrastructure of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the area where the shooting took place.

 Captain Lemberg is the 16th casualty in southern Lebanon since the declaration of a "ceasefire.".
