Meira, the wife of the Deputy President of the Supreme Court, Justice Noam Solberg, responded this evening (Wednesday) to a riot that occurred outside their home in Alon Shvut, during which dozens of extremist rioters rioted, attempted to break into the house - and caused damage to the house and property.
In emotional words in front of the cameras, she described her feelings in light of the sights at the scene and compared what happened to a "pogrom.".
""I'll tell you a shameful story," she told a Channel 14 reporter. "A relative from Chicago is calling me asking if I want to come to her. I wanted to write to her, but I didn't have time: I don't have another country. I'm not going anywhere. Even if the earth is a little on fire now, it won't help anyone. We will continue on the right path because this is our country.".
Solberg was at home during the riot and destruction. His wife shouted: "It's impossible for Jews to harm each other like this. This is destruction, a pogrom. What is this here, Kristallnacht?"" https://t.co/7a7Lum3oKl@yoeli_brim pic.twitter.com/SthhijSZkg

She later expressed shock at the events and said: "It's impossible for Jews to do this to each other. We are children of Holocaust survivors. Jews hurt each other like this? How can this be? How can this be?".
Solberg's wife pointed to the damage caused at the scene and added: "Look at the destruction. A pogrom! What is this here, Kristallnacht? How is it possible?".
