Today (Tuesday) at around 7:55 AM, a report was received at the ZAKA hotline about a woman in her 60s who was found lifeless and in a state of decomposition in an open area near the Kfir Brigade monument in Afula.
Northern District ZAKA volunteers were called to the scene and worked at the scene, treating the deceased with dignity and collecting the remains.
Shimon Yom Tov Weiser, a Northern District ZAKA volunteer who attended the scene, said: "We were called to the scene after a report of a woman who was located lifeless by a drone that was scanning the area, deep in the area near Afula. This is a woman who had been missing for about a week, and unfortunately she was found in a state of decomposition. Together with fellow Northern District ZAKA volunteers and the Israel Police, we worked at the difficult scene with respect for the deceased and collecting all the findings.""
