After three days of extensive searches at sea and along the coastline: the missing person who disappeared on Friday at Mei Ami Beach in Ashdod has been located.
Lifeguards from nearby Lido, who were searching using a drone, noticed a body floating in the sea about 500 meters from the shoreline. The lifeguards pulled his body from the water and called emergency and rescue forces to the scene.
ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish area - Ashdod team took care of the scene, respecting the deceased and collecting the findings.
Avi Deri, ZAKA commander in the Lachish region: "Over the past three days, ZAKA volunteers from the special units worked together with all emergency and rescue forces in a prolonged effort to locate the missing person. This morning, upon locating the body, the volunteers worked at the scene with respect for the deceased and are accompanying the family during this difficult time.""
The deceased was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further investigation.
