Maklev, who was one of the leaders of the struggle against the dairy reform, said that he sees great importance in strengthening Israeli agriculture and preserving the livelihoods of farmers.

"Farmers do sacred work in protecting the land of the country and providing food to all citizens of Israel," said Maklev. "We are committed to standing by them, assisting them in the face of difficulties and ensuring that they receive all the support they need.".

In his remarks, Maklev thanked Degel Hatorah Chairman MK Moshe Gafni, and said: "Rabbi Gafni's determined fight for farmers is already showing its signs, both in standing by farmers on the issue of milk and in promoting the Agricultural Law.".
