A treat before the election? The Prime Minister's Office is promoting a five-year plan for Haredi society, which is supposed to transfer billions to benefit the sector's children - and also to establish the course for years to come.

The draft plan that Kan News received today (Thursday) indicates that 25% from the Ministry of Education's construction budget will be transferred to benefit Haredi education.

In addition, a budget of 44 million shekels per year will be allocated for a program to "prevent dropout" of struggling youth.

20 million shekels a year will be transferred to scholarships for religious studies for Haredim who go to study professions that are needed in the labor market, and 22 million shekels a year will be allocated to Haredi tourism.

The intention is to bring the plan to the government's approval before the vote on dissolving the Knesset, as the actual feasibility of its approval and implementation is limited as the elections approach.

It should be noted that some of the sections contradict the anti-Haredi ruling regarding the budgeting of young men who do not enlist in the IDF.
