An Israeli citizen was killed in the accident and several other Israeli citizens were evacuated to the local hospital in moderate and serious condition.

Immediately upon receiving the report, the ZAKA International Division team established contact with a local team from the International Division who would handle the difficult scene and the hospital - and assist the victims and their families.
Baruch Nidam, director of ZAKA's international division, who is managing the event: "Immediately upon receiving the report of the incident, we are working together with the Foreign Ministry to transfer the deceased to Israel as soon as possible for burial and funeral - and to fly the injured for treatment in Israel.
""The international brigade teams are in contact with the local authorities who are working as quickly as possible to release the victims to Israel.".
Yosef Dwir, commander of the Panamanian ZAKA, who is handling the scene, added: "Immediately upon receiving the report, I arrived at the scene together with a ZAKA team, and we are working with all parties on the scene to release the deceased as soon as possible and are taking care of the dignity of the deceased and collecting the findings.".
