The commander of the US Central Command, Brad Cooper, also referred to the escalation and 'Operation Freedom' in the Strait of Hormuz to open the naval blockade. "The US military is conducting two operations in two areas," he explained. "In the blockade of the Iranian ports and we have opened an effective route.".

He made it clear that "any Iranian attempt to harm the ships will be repelled by us.".

According to him, 6 Iranian boats were sunk following an attempt to attack ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz: "The Revolutionary Guards launched missiles and drones at commercial ships - and we provided them with protection. No US Navy ship was harmed. We sank 6 Iranian boats that tried to attack the ships. We will respond to the Iranian attacks in accordance with President Trump's instructions.".

In response, the Iranian military spokesman tweeted a threat on Twitter - claiming that a "night of fury" was expected.

The United Arab Emirates announced this afternoon that the country's air defense systems shot down missiles launched from Iran and another missile crashed into the sea. The Emirates also reported that a fire broke out at an oil facility in Fujairah after a drone strike and three Indian citizens were injured. In Oman, damage to a residential building was reported, resulting in two people being injured.

An official statement from the Emirati Ministry of Defense stated: "Four cruise missiles were spotted approaching the country from Iran. Three were successfully intercepted over the country's territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea.".

The Emirates statement also stated: "The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the sounds heard in various parts of the country were the result of successful interception of aerial threats. The ministry calls on the public to receive information from official sources and verify facts, as well as to adhere to all public safety procedures when receiving warning messages.".

A senior UAE official informed Israel that they do not intend to remain silent about the attacks. "The Iranian regime has begun attacking us - we will strike back.".

An Iranian military source responded to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency: "If the Emiratis become a tool of Israel and make a mistake - they will learn a lesson they will never forget. If the Emiratis take an unwise action - all their interests will become Iran's target and there will be no place in the Emirati facilities that will be safe.".

Israel is preparing for the collapse of the ceasefire, in the shadow of the American operation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Iranian attack on the United Arab Emirates. Israeli security officials said this evening that there is immediate preparation to respond to any Iranian attack against Israel.

A senior official told Channel 14: "Israel is ready to return to immediate combat in Iran. We are just waiting for the green light from the Americans.".
