Public tours: MDA opens its doors to the general public

If you've wondered what MDA's 101 emergency center looks like from the inside, what MDA medics and paramedics travel on to complex events, and what process a blood unit goes through from the moment it is donated to the moment it is sent to the hospitals, now you can find out - MDA is opening its doors to the general public and inviting you to a tour of the MDA headquarters in Ramla.

As part of the tour, you can visit the MDA National Emergency Center, where medics and paramedics are on standby at all hours to answer incoming calls, make decisions within seconds - and dispatch teams to the scene.

MDA's fleet of vehicles - ambulances, intensive care vehicles, immediate response vehicles and other unique means such as a Unimog specially adapted for traveling in off-road conditions and an intensive care bus, with 7 intensive care beds and advanced medical equipment.

In Kiryat MDA, you can also visit the laboratories of the National Blood Bank of Israel, which operates non-stop: blood donations that arrive from all over the country are tested and sent to hospitals and the IDF.

Alongside it, the National Breast Milk Bank also operates, where breast milk donations are collected, processed, and delivered to premature babies and babies whose mothers are unable to breastfeed.

And among all of these - the MDA Paramedic School, with advanced technologies, simulation facilities and devices designed to train the cutting edge of emergency medicine in Israel.
