A 4-year-old boy was slightly injured today (Thursday) after a terrorist threw stones at a vehicle on Highway 60, near the Yitzhar junction in Samaria.
As a result of the impact, the car windows were shattered, and the child was injured by shrapnel.
Rescue forces provided the child with first aid at the scene. Immediately after the incident, IDF forces began extensive searches of the area in an attempt to locate the terrorist.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office reported that it was decided to impose a cordon on the village of Madama, from which the attacker is suspected to have come. Security forces are operating inside the village and on nearby roads.
The head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan, spoke with the boy's father and strengthened his hands. After the conversation, the head of the Samaria Council spoke with the commander of the Samaria Brigade, Col. Ariel Gonen, received a briefing on the attack and asked to strengthen the soldiers' hands.
Dagan said after the talks: "Thank God the child is in good condition and was slightly injured. The IDF has been conducting significant activity in the area recently against stone throwers, including ambushes, but on this stretch of road there is still a higher rate of stone throwing than in other places.".
Dagan presented his demands from the military establishment: "I expect the senior IDF command to take steps - to expose the trees that were planted in recent years near the highway and allowed the throwing of stones. I demand that a crown be placed on the village over time, and that an IDF military operation be launched against the terrorist infrastructure and supporters of terrorism in the village.".
Dagan added: "We, the residents of Samaria and the entire people of Israel, raise our heads and raise them even higher. We will not surrender to terror and we will not be afraid of terror. We will build our Land of Israel even further.".
