An unusual incident occurred yesterday in Ramat Gan: two Arab repairmen, residents of the Shuafat neighborhood, were arrested on suspicion of threatening a female soldier, spitting at her, and cursing her.
According to the soldier, the incident occurred while she was walking to her mother's house on Negba Street in the city.
""They walked towards me in a threatening manner and spat. One of them called me a 'bitch,'" the soldier told investigators at the Bnei Brak police station.
The police at the station began investigating the incident and were able to locate the suspects, based on a description provided by the soldier.
The two, aged 17 and 21, were taken for questioning and denied the allegations.
The two are suspected of insulting a public servant, simple assault, and threats.
They will be brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court today for a hearing on extending their detention.
