Yaki Adamker, a media personality and member of the "Patriots" panel on Channel 14, referred to the October 7 attack on the program as an event intended to "wake up" the people of Israel.
His remarks drew harsh criticism, especially from competing media outlets.
The editor of the main edition of News 12 tweeted: "There is no bottom that this channel won't scrape from the bottom. To hear and not to believe.".

In a post he published on his X account, Adamker responded to his critics and presented the religious message of his words, which represent the Jewish view that "no evil descends from above," even if this is inconceivable to the human mind.
And so he wrote: "The pinnacle of faith is that whatever God does for good, He does. That is, there is no evil in it. Is October 7 good? Yes. The essence of faith is that even if we don't understand and don't see it, we believe so. This is a high level, but behind the 'evil' there is intention, there is knowledge behind it. And that, too, is good in the end.".

He later criticized Channel 12 for the extensive coverage his words received: "Thank you to Channel 12 for the opportunity to repeat my words. I wish you a little faith too. It seems that you are in complete hysteria and sweating like crazy, and that is liberating.".
