Specialized fire protection training in the fire and rescue system opened this week, joined by ultra-Orthodox civil service employees.
The training began after several training courses for the firefighter track.
The service track in the fire department constitutes another milestone in the expansion of the civil service and the entry of additional service members from the Haredi sector into significant, professional core roles that directly contribute to civil security and saving lives.
The course was built in a way that was tailored to enable the successful integration of young Haredi people into the civil emergency system, while adapting to the Haredi lifestyle, maintaining a moral and Torah framework, and imparting in-depth professional knowledge in the field of fire prevention, emergency response, risk identification, and protection of human life and property.
In recent years, the civil service has experienced a significant expansion momentum in the ultra-Orthodox sector, with an increasing number of service members entering vital fields such as medicine, emergency services, and civil security. The opening of additional training in fire and rescue joins a series of strategic moves designed to deepen the integration of the ultra-Orthodox sector into a significant, professional, and nationally valuable civil service.
The data shows a growing demand for these tracks and fire protection training is one of the additional training courses that will begin soon, including another round of software testers under the Maalot program. These tracks are part of the expansion of the portfolio of roles and training offered to service members from the ultra-Orthodox sector.
