Jewish music is being renewed: Singer and songwriter Yehudi Białostowski is launching his second album - "As if.".
Białostocki, one of the most prominent voices to emerge in New York in recent years, continues to establish his status as a groundbreaking singer and songwriter, with an album that displays a clear personal identity and artistic maturity.
The album includes 11 original tracks, ten of which are by Białostowski himself, and another by producer and composer Yanki Steinmetz. The arrangements were entrusted to a number of leading names in Jewish music, including Yanki Steinmetz, Leib Yaakov Rigler, Benny Laufer and Moshi Yaakov, who give the album a rich, contemporary and meticulous musical envelope.
“As if” is characterized by stylistic and linguistic diversity, with songs in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish, appealing to a wide international audience.
The album is also graced with two prestigious duets: one with Cantor Yitzhak Meir Helfgot in the moving song “Today We Embrace,” and the other with Shlomi Daskal in the song “Makom Torah” – a Torah-themed song.
