Until a week ago, many had never heard of its existence, but when you meet the residents of Somaliland and hear their stories, you understand the reason for the warm embrace they gave us this week. Moav Vardi and photographer Ofer Idelstein were in Somaliland the week after Israeli recognition, and tried to understand whether the small African country that the world does not recognize could be Israel's new strategic partner in the fight against the Houthis in Yemen.
