Caught red-handed corrupting graves: Three Jewish girls were arrested last night at a Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem on suspicion of 'insulting a religious place' after, according to police, they vandalized graves there. The girls wrote a "price tag" on one of the graves using rocks and sand.

Officers from the David Area Police Department in the capital captured the three suspects, who are known to the police, while they were committing the act.

The police captured the girls in the Muslim cemetery located near the eastern wall of the Old City.

They were taken for questioning, during which they refused to cooperate with the police.

This morning they were brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing on extending their detention. A lawyer from the Hananu association represented them.

The court rejected the police request to remove the girls from the Old City and released them without bail. They were also restricted from approaching the cemetery for 30 days.
