The president of the Council of Torah Sages, Hacham Shalom Cohen, this evening (Saturday night) sharply attacked 'Kol Berama', the Sephardic radio station affiliated with Shas.
During the regular Saturday evening class at the Yazdim synagogue, a memorial service was also held this evening on the 13th month since the passing of the late Rabbi Yosef, during which the president of the 'Council' also spoke.
During the discussion, Rabbi Cohen sharply attacked 'Kol Berama' - and said: "Open the Kol Berama that is heard in the wail, which is forbidden to be heard! Isn't it forbidden to be heard? Do you agree with me?""

Chacham Shalom turned to the Chief Rabbi Yosef, who was sitting next to him: "Honored Rabbi, do you agree with me?""
The Rabbi replied: "Sure, sure.".
And the Minister of Foreign Affairs continued the attack: "Whatever he spoils us with, he is good for us.".
""I once traveled with a driver," the Haredi said. "He turned on the radio, I started hearing nonsense and nonsense, taking the Torah, making a business out of it... A few minutes later, the Kol Berama radio station stopped broadcasting the live broadcast from the Yazids in favor of the 10:00 PM news broadcast - and immediately after that, they switched to the Shavea Tov program.
Broadcaster Amiram Ben Lulu said that the satellite broadcast ended earlier than usual, and added: "Kol Berama was established by order of the Maran." The station also played a loop of the blessing of the late Rabbi Yosef to the station's listeners: "I bless all the dear listeners who listen to Kol Berama. This is the voice of the Torah, the voice of the Torah, and all the people see the voices of the Torah. Therefore, go and listen and tell your friends too, everyone who has not heard, that they should listen. May there be a place that is all Torah, where they can beat the Torah. The little one will become a thousand and the young one a mighty nation.".
This is not the first time that the Grand Vizier has attacked Kol Berama. About a year ago, also in a Saturday evening class, he said: "When he started, he started with good things, just saying Torah verses, giving good lectures. Lately, you know Kol Berama, what is it? Kol Berama sounds like a howl. He publishes false things against Shas, he slanders as much as he can, he has to make denials about everything. He has to shut it down. The vested interests are killing us.".
