The Northern District Attorney's Office filed an indictment today (Thursday) with the Nazareth Magistrate's Court against Moshe Avraham Iram, 40, from Jerusalem, for threats and an attempt to attack the head of the IDF's Human Resources Division, Major General Moti Almoz, last month. .
The facts of the indictment, filed through attorney Alina Kaufman, indicate that a month ago the defendant, together with another person, arrived in the village of Kfar Tavor, where Major General Almuz lives - and this was against the backdrop of the defendant's opposition to the IDF recruitment policy, and the ideology he adopted, according to which those involved in recruiting for the army should be harmed and harassed.
On Saturday evening, after the defendant made sure that Major General Amoz was among the worshippers, he arrived at the synagogue and, upon completion of the prayer, approached Major General Amoz in the synagogue plaza and began to accuse him of carrying out the military arrest of female soldiers.
The accused continued to shout, and shouted at the general: "There is justice and there is a judge," and that whoever tortures a widow or an orphan faces a very severe punishment. Finally, the accused even spat at him.
During the next three days, until May 8, 2017, the defendant continued to stay with his partner near the synagogue in the settlement, and near the house of Major General Almuz - and even waved signs there.
As reported by Haredim10, during the demonstration in front of Almog's house, the demonstrators distributed hateful posters against him, which read: "Know this - your end will be like Mr. Hitler and his friends.".
In Pashkvil it is further stated: "Moti Almuz, head of the ACHA, who sells his soul for the greed of money. How long will the souls of the sons and daughters of Israel burn in the furnaces of Auschwitz - the army of extermination?".
The prosecution asked the court to order the arrest of the defendant until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
