Minister Gila Gamliel hosted the Mayor of Modi'in Illit, Yaakov Guterman, this morning (Monday) at her office at the Digital Israel headquarters at the Ministry of Social Equality in Bnei Brak - for the signing of a grant agreement from the Ministry of Social Equality for a youth center in Modi'in Illit.

The grant, totaling hundreds of thousands of shekels, will be used for social activities and equipment for the city's youth center.

The assistance is provided as part of a 'call for applications' distributed by the Ministry of Social Equality to local authorities that operate youth centers, according to which any authority that meets the conditions of the 'call for applications' will receive a grant for leadership programs, social activities for young people, and equipment for the youth centers.

Modi'in Illit is one of the first authorities to meet the conditions of the call for proposals and sign the grant agreements, and is the first Haredi authority to receive the grant.

Minister Gamliel: "Investing in young people is a long-term strategic investment, from which the state is the main beneficiary. It is the duty of every state that desires life to invest in the well-being of the younger generations, who are its future, with all that this implies.".
