President-elect Donald Trump's hive is already taking shape, but now it appears that at least one person will not make it to the White House: Melania Trump, the president-elect's wife.
According to a report in the New York Post, Melania, 46, and their son, Barron Trump, 10, will continue to live in the luxurious family penthouse in Trump Tower. The official reason, according to the Post, is so that Barron can continue to study at the private school he attends in Manhattan.
""Melania is very close to Barron and they became even closer during the campaign," said a source close to Trump. "The campaign was difficult for Barron and she really hoped that he would interfere with him as little as possible.".
Despite this, Melania Trump intends to carry out the representative duties required of the First Lady, and to come to the White House whenever the position requires it.
The decision not to move to the White House is also expected to have security implications. Living in the Trump Building in Manhattan will lead to an expanded security presence around the tower and will require extensive efforts by the Secret Service in the area.
The one who will become the 'First Lady', according to rumors, is Trump's daughter - Ivanka, who, along with her husband Jared, is considered very close to her father.
The American-Jewish website jewinthecity speculated that the White House would establish a kosher kitchen and perhaps even install a mixing plant to adapt the work environment for Trump's daughter and son-in-law, who observe Shabbat and kosher.
