The IDF this evening (Sunday) uncovered a network of underground Hezbollah tunnels, which were planned and funded by the Iranian terrorist regime in the Beaufort Range.
Forces from the Golani, Maglan and Yahalam brigade combat teams are leading an effort to locate the network with the aim of gaining operational control over the ridge. The activity in the area was carried out to gain control of the area, which poses a threat to the country's citizens, and to enable the destruction of the infrastructure.
The tunnel network was built in a location that allows operational control over the Galilee Finger and is only six kilometers from Metula.
The infrastructure served as a Hezbollah center and contains several tunnels that were built to accommodate hundreds of terrorists at the same time. Within, several rooms were found prepared for prolonged stay and combat, including water and electricity infrastructures alongside anti-tank and air defense capabilities aimed at attacking IDF forces and civilians.
In one of the tunnels, which is about a kilometer long, six underground shafts and a room used to store weapons, an anti-tank launcher, anti-tank missiles, grenades, ammunition and combat equipment were located.
Additionally, advanced medical equipment and several guest rooms were found on site, including shower rooms, a restroom, an operating room, and kitchens.
From this area, unmanned aerial vehicles, shoulder-launched missiles, and anti-tank missiles have been launched in the past towards the State of Israel and towards IDF forces.

The underground project was built in an area where the Lebanese army operates. As part of efforts to enforce the agreement between Israel and Lebanon, a request was made to the Lebanese army to handle this infrastructure, but despite the request, the terrorist organization Hezbollah clearly prevented the Lebanese army from handling this infrastructure.
