The IDF revealed today (Sunday) the deployment of forces in the 'front defense line area' in southern Lebanon.
This is a strategic strip of territory that has been nicknamed the 'Yellow Line', and is intended to constitute a security buffer that will prevent anti-tank fire and raids by the 'Radwan Force' towards Israeli territory.
This is an area two and a half times larger than the area that Israel holds in the Gaza Strip.
Five IDF divisions are operating in parallel in southern Lebanon, backed by naval forces operating off the coast and the Air Force, which provides continuous fire cover.

The main effort is focused south of the front defense line, where the forces are destroying buildings that were used as terrorist positions and Hezbollah command centers, along with locating and detonating tunnel systems that were intended to be used by the terrorists for shooting and attacking.
In addition, the forces are working to eliminate terrorists who are attempting to violate the ceasefire agreements and approach the front defense line from the north.
