Against the backdrop of the terrorist attacks: Right-wingers demonstrated in Jerusalem against the 'B'Tselem' exhibition, which was presented in the city this evening.

The demonstration was organized by Council member Moshe Leon, along with Yisrael Beiteinu youth, and the organization 'Soldiers' Mothers Against B'Tselem.' MKs Alex Miller and Leon Litentsky also participated.

The exhibition featured B'Tselem's camera project, in which the organization distributed cameras to Palestinians in Judea and Samaria so that they could document IDF soldiers as they dealt with riots.

At the demonstration, Leon said: "The municipality is allowing B'Tselem to defame IDF soldiers. Enough with the incitement, enough with the defamation, enough with the slander against our sons, the IDF soldiers. Today a red line was crossed in the capital of Israel, the municipality gave its consent to incitement against IDF soldiers.".

About two weeks ago, Leon sent a letter to Mayor Nir Barkat, in which he asked to cancel the exhibition: "The aforementioned event will be attended by Ruth Ginzburg and Arkady Zaydes, who are known to be working against the IDF and the State of Israel in the name of human rights. In the evening, photographs and dance works will be presented that present the IDF and the state as human rights violators and occupiers, and"Yes, a book will be launched that is completely saturated with hatred and presents the Israel Defense Forces as an occupying army.".

Leon added, "The Hansen House is funded and budgeted by the Jerusalem Municipality and the HRE.". It is unthinkable that the Jerusalem Municipality and you as its head would allow this event to take place.

He said, "Holding an event of this type could severely harm coexistence in Jerusalem, especially these days, when extremist organizations are trying to disrupt the delicate fabric of life that exists in the city.".

He concluded that, "The feelings of the bereaved families and IDF soldiers, who strongly oppose the holding of this show, must be taken into account.". "The Jerusalem Municipality must cancel this event and not allow it to take place in the complex funded by the municipality.".

Several protesters attempted to block the entrance to the building, and three were even arrested after throwing stones. An attorney from the Honenu organization is representing the detainees.

The Jerusalem Municipality responded: "The exhibition that was shown in other places in the country is not being shown at Hansen. At Hansen, an evening of discussion on artistic topics is being held. The municipality is not funding the event, is not associated with, and is not responsible for the content, but rather the organizers who rented the venue.".

Additional demonstrations due to the security situation were held across the country, at the Shilat Junction, in Bega, in Bat Yam, and more.

Residents of Gush Etzion held a march on Route 60, following the recent attacks at the Gush Etzion intersection.
