Good news for the retirees of the Hadera Yeshiva: This evening, an exciting coronation ceremony was held for the esteemed Rabbi Yaakov Stefansky - as the head of the 'Torah Bitferatha' Yeshiva in Ashdod.

The yeshiva was established in the "winter time" in the city of Ashdod for the young men who withdrew from the Yitzhak-Hadera Knesset Yeshiva, at the behest of the great men of Israel, who ordered them to leave the yeshiva and transfer their place of study to the new yeshiva established in Ashdod - this against the backdrop of the controversy dividing the Lithuanian community.

So far, no Rosh Yeshiva has been appointed to the new yeshiva, except for the rabbis - the eminent rabbis Sokolevsky, Geffen and Rothschild.

This evening, at the Beit HaGrail Steinman on 5 Chazon Ish Street, the ceremony was held with the participation of rabbis and yeshiva leaders, alongside dozens of students.

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Stefansky is considered a well-known scholar in the yeshiva world. He served until recently as one of the heads of the Imrei Zvi yeshiva in Kiryat Sefer, which closed due to budget constraints.
