Tragedy: The children were practicing entering the kindergarten - and the kindergarten teacher suddenly collapsed and died

A kindergarten teacher collapsed today (Wednesday) at a kindergarten in Ashkelon.

Rescue forces called to the scene performed CPR on her, but unfortunately they had no choice but to declare her dead.

According to a report in Kan News, a message sent to the children's parents stated that the children did not watch what was happening.

The young woman, 29, arrived today to work as a substitute teacher at the kindergarten. According to the kindergarten director, the children were at the time practicing entering the military base following yesterday's shooting from Gaza, and therefore were not exposed to what was happening at all.

"צוותים מטעם העירייה נמצאים בגן על מנת לתמוך בילדים ובצוות החינוכי. אני רוצה למסור את תנחומיי למשפחה היקרה, שלא תדעו עוד צער ומן השמיים תנוחמו. עיריית אשקלון תציע למשפחה את כל הסיוע הדרוש בשעה קשה זו".
