Development in the case of Rabbi Shmuel Tal, Rosh Yeshiva 'Torat Chaim': The rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of the city of Safed and the one who conducted the investigation into Rabbi Tal's case, published a scathing letter last night (Tuesday) against the head of the yeshiva, calling for him to stop studying at the yeshiva, the midrasha, and his counseling school.
In the letter, Rabbi Eliyahu explains that he is publishing the details because Rabbi Tal's publicists are spreading lies.
Rabbi Eliyahu writes in his letter about the personal relationship that Rabbi Tal had with a married woman, as well as about the 'Holy Spirit' that allegedly appeared to Rabbi Tal.
In his letter, Rabbi Eliyahu added new and embarrassing details about Rabbi Tal, revealing that the amount of compensation he pledged to pay the woman is half a million shekels - "part of which has already been paid.".
According to Rabbi Eliyahu's letter, Rabbi Tal deleted evidence from his computer in order to disrupt the court's hearing.
""In this situation, I do not recommend that anyone learn any halacha or advice from him," writes Rabbi Eliyahu. "I do not recommend studying either in a yeshiva or in a midrasha or in a school for his advice.".
