The Satmar Rebbe, who landed in Israel yesterday for a historic 'Shabbat Ta'achdut' near the Zion Rashbi in Meron, participated last night in his grandson's Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Doshinsky Seminary in Jerusalem.

In his speech in honor of the Bar Mitzvah, the Rebbe addressed current events.

At the beginning of his remarks, the Rebbe referred to those who "enjoy Jezebel's table and thus become bone of bone and flesh of flesh of Zionism and the state. Thank God, the important community of Dusinsky is not part of them, and Haredi Jewry abroad stands by their side and will continue to stand by their side, as it was in the days of my uncle (Baal Hadbarei Yoel) and in the days of my father (Baal HaBarech Moshe), and that is how it is today as well - that abroad we constantly hear what is happening here in Israel, and especially in the conscription law, where there are agreements with the government.".

At this point, the Rebbe addressed the controversy in the Lithuanian sector and said: "I want to make a point: We have strong arguments against the agreement, and if all of this is true, we will not interfere in the controversy that the leaders of the Torah Banner are sharing. We have a different path, and we are not interested in who the leader of the Torah Banner is. We have no part in this controversy.

""We have our own path, accepted by our ancestors and our elders, and they follow a completely different path. They are fighting over who will receive a representative in the Knesset of the Sexes - this is the basis of the dispute...""

In his speech, the Rebbe disavowed the "Jerusalem faction," unlike his brother, the Rebbe of Satmar, who received the representatives of the "faction" at a ceremony held during his visit to Jerusalem.

""There is no dispute here, for heaven's sake. Do they have a representative? Are they going to the elections," the Rebbe taunted the 'split'. "They don't have a representative? Are they not going to the elections. These are not partners for us, we are going in a different direction. This is a political matter, not a Torah war or a mitzvah war. We did not express opinions when they were busy with 'yes rotation' or 'no rotation.' We were not moved by that dispute or this dispute, we have no part in it.".

Regarding the security situation, the Rebbe said: "May God help and protect all who seek refuge in Him, may He protect the remnant of Israel from every trouble and calamity. Terrible protection is needed in the Land of Israel every day. All of Israel throughout the world mourns for every sorrow and grief in the Land of Israel. All of Israel prays for the peace of Jerusalem and for the peace of our fellow Israelites throughout the Land of Israel.".

""It is very painful when there is a merciful one to save victims, God will say to Israel's troubles enough, but at the same time we want to publish our strong opinion against provoking nations, against settlements of any kind. This incites hatred from the nations of the world, not only in the Land of Israel but throughout the world. May God have mercy on the people of Israel wherever they are and save them from all those who are inciting them, at all times.".
