This evening (Tuesday), a closing ceremony of the Babylonian Shas was held at the Erchot Torah Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, taught by yeshiva students for the 'thirty' years of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Israel Belsky, zt"l, head of the Torah and Da'at Yeshiva in the United States and father-in-law of the yeshiva's friend - the governor, Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz.

The event, which took place in the yeshiva's dining hall after the Maariv prayer, began with the arrival of the yeshiva's head, the Grail Steinman, when hundreds of yeshiva members welcomed him with great excitement and singing in honor of the Torah.

The closing ceremony was conducted by Rabbi Yechiel Klarman, one of the yeshiva's leaders, and the recitation of Kaddish was performed by the yeshiva's leader, Rabbi Baruch Dov Diskin.

The Grail remained at the ceremony for a long time. In his words, he blessed all the young men and all the participants in the ceremony, "May God help you, so that you may have a double reward in this world and the next." After that, the yeshiva members accompanied the Rosh Yeshivah as he left.

Also speaking at the event were Rabbi Itamar Garbuz, one of the yeshiva's leaders, and Rabbi Hezkiyahu Mishkovsky, the yeshiva's superintendent, who spoke about the greatness of the deceased, the greatness of his closeness, and the immense right of his son-in-law, the governor, Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, to carry on the yeshiva's responsibilities.

The speech of the Ner Zerach Otzem Yeshiva, which was presented by the institutions of the Torah seminaries, which also took part in the study of Shas, was delivered by the Rosh Yeshiva of Ner Zerach, the Gaon Rabbi Yitzhak Zeev Feinstein. The yeshiva president, Rabbi Yaakov Verzhbinsky, also participated in the event.
