Competing with Bennett and Lapid? Shas Chairman Minister Aryeh Deri and the Economy Ministry management held a working visit to the city of Modi'in Illit this morning (Thursday). During the visit, the Haredi minister said: "The most important economic mission of the Israeli government is to integrate Haredi men into the workforce, and to make them a significant part of Israel's economy and labor." According to him, "Haredi women are currently in great demand in the labor market and constitute a significant part of it. It is our duty to ensure that they receive full and equal working conditions and advancement to the general market, as is customary and legal, and in accordance with their qualifications." Deri added: "Those who want to study Torah - we will do everything to help them, those who do not - we will do everything to integrate them into the labor market. "Without the integration of Haredi men into the labor market, we will all find ourselves - the Haredi sector, employers, and the Israeli economy - in a serious problem in the coming years." Minister Deri met with Mayor Yaakov Guterman and the heads of companies operating in the city, including Matrix, Bezeq, Citibook, BDO, Visa Cal, Talpiot, Image Store and more, with the aim of examining the assistance required from both the Ministry of Economy and employers, in order to advance the working conditions of ultra-Orthodox women.
