He is now retiring from his position at the Herald, and is moving to serve as head of the information department for the ultra-Orthodox sector at Shas.

Itzik Sodri also joins the Shas public relations team: At the end of a meeting between Shas Movement Chairman Aryeh Deri and Sodri, it was agreed that Sodri would join the team of advisors on strategy and public relations in the upcoming Knesset elections - in the public relations headquarters that was recently established.

""Sodri is supposed to bring his experience to the headquarters, as someone who previously served as the spokesman and media advisor for the Shas movement.

Sudari is the brother of Yehudit Yosef, the wife of Rabbi Moshe Yosef, son of the Gra"a zt"l.

Asher Medina said in response to the Haredim10: "I had the privilege of being one of the founders of the important Haredi daily, Meshav, which placed the banner of honor for all circles in faithful Judaism on the map of Haredi journalism.

""In the past 6 years, I have worked with all my might, together with the entire staff, to establish the newspaper's professional status, which indeed quickly took its place in the forefront of Haredi journalism. I thank Director General Rabbi Moshe Porush and the wonderful team for the great training they gave me and for the many beautiful hours spent together.".

""These days I am embarking on a new journey in my role as head of the Shas movement's public relations department.

""Since the passing of Maran Gra"a Yosef, I feel the need to step down from the podium to the arena of action and harness all my abilities to the prosperity of the holy movement - the legacy of Maran, which brought about the greatest spiritual revolution in the Land of Israel.".

""I responded to the call of the movement's chairman, Rabbi Aryeh Deri, to the flag and will do everything I can to raise the banner of the holy movement, out of the unity of the ranks and the joy of a mitzvah.".

Medina refused to answer the question of what he would do after the elections.
