The 'Satellite Lesson' episode: The Chief Rabbi Yosef thanked Moreshet Radio on Saturday night, at the end of his weekly lesson at the Yazdim synagogue, for starting to broadcast his lesson live.

""40 years ago, Maran zt"l, had a permanent corner in Kol Yisrael," he said. "I still remember when we lived on Elkana Street. There was a halacha corner every Friday, and now Atara has returned to its old days.

""I want to congratulate the directors of Radio Moreshet, the welfare of the many depends on them. Our goal is to spread Torah, to benefit the many, to be heard by tens of thousands.".

""Therefore, I bless them, may they be blessed with every ounce of goodness, may they live long days and years," the Rabbi concluded.

Afterwards, in his greeting to the audience, the Rabbi emphasized: "Those who listened through Radio Moreshet.".

Last week, the traditional lesson on the Sephardic radio station "Kol Berama" was not broadcast for the first time. This was after the attack by the president of the Council of Torah Sages, Rabbi Cohen, against the radio station two weeks ago, during the lesson, when he said that "it is forbidden to listen to the station," and the Rishon LeZion agreed with his words and said: "Of course, of course.".

A statement from the Bermah Voice last week said: "Unfortunately, in the last two weeks, the station has been undergoing a brutal attack that threatens its independence and its ability to prioritize the public good, from vested interests, while mixing lies and half-truths and delivering them in a manner that is not fair to the greats of the generation.".

""The station established by Maran ztzukal has determined for itself that in no way will it allow the dignity of any Torah figure to be harmed, and it will continue to do so in the future.".

""However, in light of recent events and opinions from both Torah scholars with whom the station consults, and from the Second Authority, and from legal experts, the station is obligated to consider its steps seriously and responsibly, and it intends to do so in the near future.".

Following this, Kol Yisrael's "Moreshet" station decided to begin broadcasting the lesson, after previously broadcasting the lesson delivered by the late Rabbi Yosef, but stopped broadcasting due to the political statements he made during the lesson.
