עו”ד מרדכי ציבין בטלוויזיה הרוסית: בניגוד לפולנים – הרוסים החזירו מהר בתי כנסת

בראיון בערוץ הטלוויזיה RBC הרוסי, בשיתוף עם CNN, עם עו”ד מרדכי ציבין הוא התבקש להביע דעתו על המדיניות הפולנית החדשה, לפיה פולין לא תחזיר עוד ליהודים רכוש אשר היה בבעלותם טרם מלחמת העולם השנייה.

ציבין אמר, כי “למרות שהשימוש הנפוץ בביטוי אנטישמיות אינו נכון, הפך לקלישאה גרידא, ומוזיל את המשמעות, הרי מהעובדה שהפולנים החליטו שלא להחזיר, באופן קטגורי, רכוש ליהודים ‘נודף ריח’ של אנטישמיות”.

לדבריו, “גם העובדה שהפולנים לא מוכנים להתנצל על פשעים שנעשו על ידם נגד העם היהודי מחזקת את הקביעה”.

ציבין השווה בין הפולנים לרוסים, ובראיון טען כי הרוסים החזירו בתי כנסת ומבנים נוספים אשר היו שייכים לקהילות היהודיות השונות, וזאת מבלי להזדקק להליך משפטי, מעין משפטי או אדמיניסטרטיבי. “לא רק שהחזירו רכוש שהיה שייך בעבר לקהילות, הם אף הוסיפו ומקצים באופן קבוע מגרשים לבניית בתי כנסת, בתי ספר ומבנים נוספים לשימוש הקהילה היהודית.

“כל זה לעומת הפולנים, אשר מתעלמים לחלוטין ומסרבים למאות בקשות המוגשות להחזרת רכוש. גם בעבר, כשעדין היו אי אלו אפשרויות חוקיות לקבל רכוש בחזרה, המערכת הביוקראטית סיכלה ניסיונות כאלה. עכשיו מערכת חוקים חדשה, אינה מאפשרת, כלל, החזרת רכוש”.

שלא במסגרת הראיון, אומר ציבין כי ברוסיה החזירו השלטונות במספר ערים לא מועט בניינים לקהילה היהודית, כמו למשל בסמרה, אורנבורג, סרטוב, רוסטוב, צ’יליאבינסק, ניז’ני נובגורוד, סנט פטסבורג, טומסק, אומסק, מוסקבה, ועוד.

“באופא ויקטריניבורג נתנו הרוסים מקרקעין על מנת לבנות בתי כנסת נחוצים לקהילה”, אמר ציבין. “בנוסף, במוסקבה נתנו שטחים כפיצוי על רכוש יהודי. כמעט שלא מוכרת תופעה כזו במערב אירופה”.

Advocate Mordechai Tzivin on Russian TV

The Russians easily returned synagogues and public buildings to the Jews, unlike the Poles, and their attitude towards the Jews

In an interview on Russian television (RBC channel, in collaboration with CNN) which took place at the beginning of the month with attorney Mordechai Tzivin, he was asked to express his opinion on the new Polish policy, according to which Poland will no longer return to the Jews, property that they owned before World War II.

Tzivin said that, although the common use of the phrase “Anti-Semitism” is incorrect, it has become a mere cliché, and diminishes its meaning, since the fact that the Poles decided more, categorically, not to return property to the Jews “smells” of anti-Semitism, also the fact that the Poles are not ready to apologize about crimes committed by them against the Jewish people strengthens the assertion.

Tzivin compared the Poles to the Russians, and in an interview, claimed that the Russians returned synagogues and other buildings that belonged to the various communities, and this without needing to resort to a legal, quasi-legal or administrative procedure.

Not only did they return property that previously belonged to the communities, they also regularly added and allocated lots for the construction of synagogues, schools and other buildings for the community’s use.

All this compared to the Poles, who completely ignore and refuse hundreds of requests submitted for the return of property.

 Even in the past, when there were still no legal options to get property back, the bureaucratic system countered such attempts.

Now, since September 2021, a new set of laws has been enacted, which does not allow, at all, the return of property.

Not in the context of the interview, Tzivin says that in Russia in quite a few cities the Russians returned buildings to the Jewish community, and not only, such as in Besmara, Orenburg, Saratov, Rostov, Chilyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Tunsk, Onsk and Moscow.

In Ufa and Yekaterinburg, the Russians gave land in order to build necessary synagogues for the community, in addition, in Moscow they gave land as compensation for Jewish property.
