I live in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. I recently moved from Quebec to Ontario with my community.<\/p>\r\n
The reason we left was because we couldn't stick to the Quebec Education Authority curriculum. This is an issue that all the ultra-Orthodox communities in Quebec struggle with. The 'Emet Hamidad' (-Satmar) case is still pending.<\/p>\r\n
According to Quebec law, children who do not receive an 'education' according to the authority\u2019s instructions are considered 'endangered' and 'neglected'. Based on this criterion, the DYP (Directorate of Youth Protection) can now arrest all the children in the community. Obviously, if they did this, there would be a public outcry. So, the DYP decided to open an investigation supposedly to investigate \u2018child abuse\u2019, so they could justify their legal kidnapping on the grounds of child abuse, and hide the motive, which was actually the argument between the authorities and the community. They knew that we had no solution but to leave, and they also talked to us about it - which was the only solution for us. They were just trying to fool us by saying that the issue of education was problematic for only one child in the community and that we trusted them and stayed in the province.<\/p>\r\n
In the end, the truth came out: DYP took two families to court over the issue of education. There we already understood that these two families had nothing to do with the issue of education. In the trial, they began to delve deeper into their daily lives. We understood that it starts with them, and then all the families would be forced to educate their children differently from our beliefs. When we believed that we understood their true motives, we chose to return to the original plan and simply leave Quebec.<\/p>\r\n
DYP investigated us for three months, trying to find anything wrong about neglect or abuse.<\/p>\r\n
They found nothing.<\/p>\r\n
We didn't 'escape' Quebec. We just packed our things and decided to leave. We were also on an unplanned vacation. In fact, very eager to do so. I don't understand why people keep saying we "escaped," as if someone was chasing us.<\/p>\r\n
The media makes sure to paint me badly, me and my friends and my father, the community's rebbe. They call him "the kidnapper" and other names. Anyone who knows him well knows very well that he is a very kind man and willing to help anyone in need. My father helped a troubled boy and found himself in prison for it. Almost no one tells the truth publicly or advocates honesty about us, because they are afraid that their name will be tarnished if people find out they are connected to my father and the community.<\/p>\r\n
Many people used to come to Sainte Agathe during the summer, to visit and also to understand the way we see Judaism. I was told that most of them told my friends' husbands that they would not tell anyone that they were by us, because then their family would be cut off from them, because of the name 'Pure Heart'.<\/p>\r\n
When the media publishes biased false reports, I don't blame them for being misinformed. I just hope that the real truth will come out once and for all. The truth will prevail. It's just a matter of time.<\/p>\r\n
It is very unfortunate to see the cycle of reports from the Israeli parliament that dictates what should be done with 'Pure Heart' (as if it is their business). They cite claims that have not been verified by sources, then the media cites the claims from the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) and DYP cites them, and the Knesset 'confirms these reports', the media confirms Knesset reports... You get the point. So now we are a 'dangerous cult', because the Knesset 'confirmed' the claims... Reports and claims... How can it be wrong, it's in the Knesset, right? Even Google agrees with them!<\/p>\r\n
I am aware of secular Israel's hatred of religion and those who practice it, especially the ultra-Orthodox. I have never delved into the depths of the Israeli parliament, they would like to persecute and destroy us through their political meetings in the Knesset. Notice how Israel proposes to "let the police raid us and just load us onto trucks.".<\/p>\r\n
My children are under the care of CAS (Children's Aid Society) of Chatham - Kent. They were aware of the circumstances of our move, when we arrived in Chatham, we generously invited them into our homes so it is clear that they saw the truth. Instead, they took advantage of the situation and visited the homes almost every day, they asked questions that were not related to child abuse. They tried to build a case by making up allegations about each family.<\/p>\r\n
I am now at the center of a child abuse case, a case in which my child was indeed abused - not by me - but by CAS.<\/p>\r\n
My daughter Bayla was playing with a marker, and she had ink on her face. CAS blew things out of proportion and said it was a gang. I offered to prove it wasn't a gang, but they wouldn't listen at all. Not that I expect them to, they had enough excuses to take them away, regardless of what I claimed. So they decided to take Bayla, and also my precious 4-year-old Mandel, while they were sleeping, to a family they couldn't communicate with or offer words of comfort to.<\/p>\r\n
As ridiculous as it may sound, CAS claimed in court that the reason they took Beila and Mendel was because of my connection with Lev Tahor and that my father is the Rebbe of the Lev Tahor community!<\/p>\r\n
They took my children and placed them in foster families who do not speak the same language as the children, nor do they share the same values \u200b\u200bor religion. My children came back to me in a terrible state of confusion and despair. Their eyes were cherry red and swollen from crying when I finally got them back after 5 days of pain and prayer. I am still trying to understand CAS and their cruel actions.<\/p>\r\n
I have nothing to hide, except the fact that I am pure of heart. If I had hidden this fact, the whole story would not have begun... Don't take my word for it. Look at the documents and decide for yourself. .<\/p>\r\n
CAS is hiding under a gag order, officially to 'protect' my children. They think no one can get a full and objective look at their actions, even before they take me to court.<\/p>\r\n
To protect my children, I decided to make the case public - for the world to see.<\/p>\r\n
My lawyer Mr. Knowles does not agree with this move. He is a little angry about it, and he is berating me for publishing his name and my pictures and documents. But independent legal advice has advised me that in the event of a claim from CAS that I have broken the law, I will not have full security within the framework of the freedom of speech and expression guaranteed by the Constitution. I will also support anyone, private or media, who republishes the information from this website. I can testify for anyone who CAS threatens for revealing the full truth.<\/p>\r\n
I authorize the CAS lawyer and his officials to disclose all the information in my case. They should stop giving statements that always imply that they have something to answer, but they are limited by the gag order. This is not true, it is just a trick to mislead the public. CAS is not supposed to hide anything.<\/p>\r\n
With God's help, I will also publish other cases of my friends, the mothers and daughters of Lev Tahor who are persecuted. I will always bring all the documents 'against' innocent mothers. The reader, who funds CAS with tax money, needs to see both sides and decide if he wants his money to go to finance such hate crimes. I have not seen that the law prohibits publishing any information to protect religious rights, so I will bring it to the public anyway.<\/p>\r\n
